Atlanta-based clothing designer and business owner Abbey Glass, has opened her first brick-and-mortar retail location at nationally acclaimed mixed-use community hub Ponce City Market. Known for timeless silhouettes in specialty fabrics and original prints, the line offers a fresh spin on classic, tailored womenswear.

Abbey’s childhood fascination with sewing and apparel design began at the age of 9 when her grandmother introduced her to her 1940s Singer sewing machine. Fast forward a few years later, and following her graduation from Rhode Island School of Design in May 2012, Abbey had the opportunity to work alongside leaders in the fashion industry like Marc Jacobs. Abbey’s career was truly kickstarted when she was a finalist in a runway show competition during New York Fashion Week in September 2012. Abbey took her talents to create her clothing line Abbey Glass, which consists of timeless, tailored pieces for women. Abbey Glass headquarters is in Buckhead with a full service atelier and boutique showroom.

The brand is expanding their availability to Atlanta shoppers with the opening of their first brick-and-mortar location at Ponce City Market. The 1200-square-foot store on the second floor of Ponce City Market will carry the brand’s current product offerings of both casual and dressy womenswear pieces as well as the new Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Inspired by 1950s and 60s hollywood glamour and the landscapes of Cinque Terre, the new collection features classic-and-bright dresses, tops, shorts, and more. In addition to Abbey Glass pieces, which range in pricing from $195 – $495, the store will carry outside Atlanta-based brands Mickey Lynn Jewelry and KZ Noel Jewelry. The Ponce City Market location will feature spacious fitting rooms, a hands-on styling staff, an expansive sale section, and occasional appearances by Abbey.

“Ponce City Market is the fresh, fun place to shop and eat in Atlanta, so it’s a great fit for our brand”, says Abbey. “We’ve been selling out of our showroom and office at Miami Circle for over a year now, and it was time to take the next steps into a true retail space where people from all over the world can touch and feel our product. Ponce City Market draws such a wide range of customers with fabulous taste, so it was evident that this was the place for us!”.

Abbey Glass at Ponce City Market is now open Monday-Friday from 10am-9pm and on Sunday from 12pm-8pm. The store will celebrate with a grand opening event on March 18th from 6PM – 9PM where they will be offering complimentary beverages, light bites and personal styling opportunities by Abbey.
